Position Summary
The Global Compensation Manager will assist with the implementation, administration and maintenance of Global Compensation programs, policies, and procedures for Huber Engineered Materials. This position will provide support to the Global HR Management team on tools, processes, and practices. This role is responsible for performing a variety of day-to-day activities, as it relates to preparing, processing compensation data, salary survey submission, supporting annual merit and incentive planning, job descriptions and pay analyses. Also responsible for maintaining standard frameworks and templates to comply with corporate standard rules. This position reports to the VP Global HR and a dotted line to J.M. Huber Senior Director of Compensation.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global compensation strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and leadership to assess and address compensation needs and challenges across different regions and business units.
- Serves as the first line of contact of HR Managers to explain compensation policies, procedures, tools, and systems and make recommendations to solve compensation issues in liaison with Huber shared services.
- Coordinates salary survey participation by gathering and organizing data, matching company jobs to survey jobs and answering survey questions to ensure completion by submission deadlines.
- Supports and manages the annual Merit and Incentive planning process by providing and analyzing market data, updating salary bands in SuccessFactors (HRIS System), compiling job documentations, and enabling management to make informed pay decisions.
- Conduct comprehensive global benchmarking analyses to ensure competitive positioning of compensation packages for newly acquired businesses (M&A).
- Facilitate a Compensation Steering Committee to drive alignment and decision-making on compensation policies, programs, and practices.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in global compensation to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
- Perform benchmarking analysis of new and existing jobs using salary survey data and comparisons to internal jobs to assign job grades and compensation ranges.
- Review of proposed salary offers and adjustments by providing compensation analytical support and evaluating compliance to established guidelines, policies, and practices.
- Assist to perform modeling, statistical analysis and costing of base & incentive programs.
- Prepares, organizes, maintains and analyzes data & reporting for HR, Managers and Business Leaders as needed.
- Actively participates with the HR global and with the Compensation COE on enterprise-wide initiatives and forums.
- Participates in audits to ensure compliance with corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- BS degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration / Management, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a compensation management role, HR generalist background is a plus.
- International exposure and knowledge of global compensation is a must have.
- Solid knowledge of employment practices, compensation regulations and best practices.
- Customer and detail oriented and quality focused.
- Excellent command of English: verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to work under tight deadlines and/or changing needs independently.
- Must maintain confidentiality of various levels of information.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite and HRIS systems and applications.
