Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist where you will conduct various technical procedures in the Emergency Department, Anesthesiology, and Core Laboratory. Your primary duties include specimen processing, method development, testing across multiple areas such as chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunoassay, and blood gases. You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory instruments, performing quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, and data entry.

Note: This is a 0.60 FTE position, scheduled for three 8-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday. Shifts may be scheduled on any weekday (Monday – Friday), and will have variable starting times as follows:

6:00am - 2:30pm

6:30am - 3:00pm

7:00am - 3:30pm

Salary Range: $53.31/hour - $71.04/hour

 

Job Qualifications

• Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.

• Demonstrated technical competence in high-volume chemistry/hematology.

• Two years of recent experience in a high-volume laboratory setting – preferred.

• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation
