Cybersecurity Department

The Cybersecurity Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so that we can make informed purchase decisions. We are always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance and cost. The Vantage Cybersecurity Department also participates in designing each of our new data center building’s security infrastructure. Position Overview

This role can be base remotely in the U.S.

The Cybersecurity Program Manager, Global at Vantage Data Centers is responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture. This role focuses on coordinating enterprise security programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, mitigating risks, and implementing standard processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead strategic security initiatives. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities while encouraging a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and lead enterprise security policies, standards, and risk management frameworks to safeguard critical infrastructure.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks through proactive monitoring, auditing, and implementation of security controls.

  • Lead multi-functional teams to develop and implement strategic security initiatives aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with global security standards, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and other relevant frameworks.

  • Be responsible for the Vulnerability Management Program, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and remediation of security threats.

  • Lead cybersecurity task workflows and serve as a blocking issue point for engineers.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report security-related data to improve security program efficiency.

  • Conduct ISO audits and other security-related assessments to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Manage patching processes and communicate identified risks or gaps to key partners.

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, solve security-related issues, and guide engineering teams on standard methodologies.

  • Keep track of emerging cybersecurity trends, regulatory changes, and standard methodologies to improve security posture and resilience.

  • Develop and provide security awareness training to educate internal teams and collaborators on cybersecurity standard methodologies.

  • Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to improve security protocols, conduct penetration testing, and strengthen network defenses.

  • Maintain and improve security incident response plans, ensuring rapid and effective mitigation of security breaches.

  • Lead and mentor a team, managing direct reports and coordinating cybersecurity initiatives across multiple data centers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience crafting, implementing, and leading cybersecurity programs, ideally within a data center or critical infrastructure environment.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with security technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools
