KBR is seeking a highly motivated self-starter, adaptable to a fast-paced exciting environment as a Senior Electrical Engineer, to support the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) contract at NAS Patuxent River, MD.  This work is with a high operational tempo team working on innovative technologies to maintain air and sea superiority in support of the E3 Aircraft Division.

In this position, you will serve as an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer providing support to the Mission Systems Team at the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). This position will provide technical support for development relating to E3 requirements for the F-35 Air System.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with engineering projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by KBR.
• Applies E3 engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.  
• Attends preliminary, critical, and other design reviews to ensure E3 requirements are properly defined and implemented.
• Assists with reviews and preparation of engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. 
• Assist with functions such as system integration, qualification testing, or acquisition and resource management. 
• Perform administrative tasks by drafting presentations, answering data calls, and providing other applicable E3 administrative support as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience: Minimum of 25 years experience required in E3 for military aircraft design, development, test, evaluations, and reporting, in accordance with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464. Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516 Section 13.

Security Clearance Requirement: Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship.

Required Education:  BS degree in Engineering or relevant military experience

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $165,000 - 206,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, contract affordability and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
