Yardmen - 2nd Shift

Summary

The Yardmen will be personally responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, bins washing and maintenance related duties. The Shop Utility Worker will be responsible for other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Manager. The Yardmen position will require to work overtime and weekend as needed.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

• Performs Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
• Performs Cleanliness of work area, tools, equipment and yard.
• Performs heavy scraping of the interior and exterior of light and heavy duty dumpster containers.
• Performs washing of the interior and exterior of light and heavy duty dumpster containers.
• Repairs (barrels only and assist welder with bins as needed)
• Container inventory & organization
• Performs Loads and Unloads both new and used containers from trucks.
• Division yard cleaning and organization activities.
• Janitorial cleaning (vacuuming, restroom cleaning, empty trash containers, etc…)
• Parking lot and entry way cleaning
• Landscape cleaning (weeding, shrubs, trees and grass areas)
• Maintain E-waste, tire, green-waste and metal drop-off areas
• Will assist with road call clean ups
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work long hours and available to work on weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English / Spanish.
• Forklift certified.

Physical/Environmental Demands:

• Physical:
  • Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, & smelling continuously.
  • Problem solving, oral communication, analytical ability, concentration continuously.
  • Eye/hand coordination, handling, & wrist motion continuously.
  • Bending, reaching, stretching, interpersonal abilities & lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. frequently.
• Environmental:
  • Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet slippery surfaces, hot/cold conditions, & noise continuously.
  • Works outside only. 

Hours:  3pm to 11pm Monday - Saturday

Hourly Wage: $24.65 per hour
