Together with your team you will be responsible for creating exciting new prototypes, orchestrating an innovation pipeline, and bringing AI innovations successfully to SAP RISE customers. The ideal candidate is a visionary and experienced Data Scientist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with diverse teams, possesses excellent communication skills and isn’t afraid to innovate on big stages.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>What you will do:   </b></p> <ul> <li>Develop AI use cases and prototypes end to end, with the goal of increasing automation in business cases involving machine learning models and to work on the entire lifecycle for customer specific projects based on analysis and specification of business requirements gathered in customer workshops. </li> <li>Design, architect and implement AI models and LLM algorithms to analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and provide insights that address the pain points of our customers respectively the identified business problems</li> <li>Support the business use case development and value generation process from ideation to solution delivery with the aim to increase business case automation and efficiency for our customers</li> <li>Continuously learn and develop by researching, understanding and implementing the latest and rapidly changing AI technologies to keep your growth mindset and always stay one step ahead with a strong focus on generative AI and large language models</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-board and cross-functional teams and hand in hand with our developers to integrate AI solutions into existing, improved or new product features and business processes</li> <li>Willingness to collaborate with other Data Scientists on AI matters and with Development Architects and Engagement Leads to define and realize a state-of-the-art overall solution</li> <li>Being a passionate advocate of problem solving and approaching challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Always looking for the most efficient and effective ways to find and unlock efficiency and automation potential for our customers while meeting ambitious project timelines</li> <li>Communicating regular project updates and the relevance of achieved results using data visualization techniques in a visual, audience friendly and consistent way to management and stakeholders</li> <li>Share your knowledge in the team to harness latest in technology for innovation and creativity in business application development<br/>  </li> </ul> <p><b>What you’ll bring: </b></p> <ul> <li>University degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related technical field, ideally Ph.D.</li> <li>6+ years of experience in delivering and/or managing data science projects. Several full project lifecycles with a distinguished record of innovative contributions and expertise in technology development desired</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of ML model validation and experience with ML evaluation metrics and best practices in the context of generative AI and related use cases</li> <li>Create AI models by applying mathematical tools like classic AI, statistical concepts, stochastics and time series analysis </li> <li>Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition </li> <li>Knowledge of programming languages and relevant experiences in data modeling and using data analytical tools and techniques (like Python, SQL, Hadoop, R, Data Bricks)</li> <li>Experience with at least one of the following cloud-related technologies &amp; concepts: Kubernetes, Docker, Kubeflow or other IaaS/PaaS environments</li> <li>Excellent presentation skills and experienced in customer interaction as well as verbal and written communication skills in English. German or basic German language skills are desirable and a plus</li> <li>Proficient in the ethical and responsible use of AI, including understanding biases in data and models and promoting transparency and fairness in machine learning applications</li> <li>Experience in mathematical modeling and optimization and the ability to abstract the scientific aspects efficie
