The Role:
This role will be a key deputy to the CFO and have end-to-end responsibility for financial reporting and analysis, including oversight of the Accounting, FP&A, [business intelligence, Tax,] and Strategic Finance functions. You will drive the financial aspect of mission-critical transformation initiatives across the enterprise, including new business initiatives, M&A, and public company readiness. Strong preference will be given to candidates who can be in-person at the company's corporate headquarters in New York City.
On a day-to-day basis, you will have oversight for all accounting functions managed by the Controller (including accounts payable and accounts receivable, journal entries, financial statement preparation and reporting, and technical accounting), corporate FP&A (including the development of the annual operating plan, the quarterly forecasting process, and business performance reviews) and building and supervising a team that provides ongoing financial and analytic support to the business segment leaders. You will work collaboratively, thinking around corners and driving end-to-end solutions that transcend department borders. You will consider the implications of decisions in terms of legal, tax, human capital processes, and change management. You should be ready to work strategically but also to engage in details!

How You Will Make an Impact:
- Build world-class Corporate FP&A function including financial reporting, metric dashboards, and strategic benchmarking capabilities for DailyPay
- Develop a segment support model to provide our Business Segment Leaders (representing the Human Capital Management, Public Sector, International, and Consumer Financial Services segments) the financial support to manage their P&L’s, analyze new growth opportunities and drive cross-functional decision-making on resource investment
- Implement pricing policies and guidelines for both direct and channel-based sales
- Manage relationship with DailyPay’s external auditor
- Support DailyPay’s enterprise-wide Public Company Readiness initiative by accelerating the financial close process, developing a SEC reporting capability, building an internal control framework, and improving the effectiveness and accuracy of the planning and forecasting process
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Evaluate potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support growth initiatives
- Mentor and develop FP&A team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
What You Bring to The Team:
- CPA or significant accounting experience
- SEC / Public company reporting experience
- Experience leading all aspects of Corporate and Business Segment FP&A, including as a financial business partner or business segment CFO
- Inquisitiveness and passion to align Finance processes to business outcomes
- Detail oriented with high standards for accuracy, ethics, and integrity
- Technical acumen; the ability to make decisions about when to automate, outsource, or streamline processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a simplified way to leaders
- Ability to manage complexity and think end to end about processes, considering both technical and practical considerations to reach the best outcomes
- Agile mindset, can incorporate new information and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances while driving finance improvement across the business
