Position Summary

DroneUp is seeking a UAS Flight Operator - Shift Lead to support the Hub Operations Teams in the areas we have delivery operations running. Shift Leads must support the Hub leadership in executing the daily plan and maintaining operations consistent with DroneUp standards. Shift Leads must be able to operate as a UAS Flight Operator in the Hub, holding themselves accountable to high standards of operations and safety. • Support the Hub Leader in:

1. Daily execution of Hub Operations plan and procedure
2. Helping to maintain a culture of excellence at the Hub 
3. Ensuring operations are conducted to meet safety and compliance standards 
4. Supporting the development of Hub staff
5. Creating schedules for the Hub team as directed by leadership
6. Helping create the plan for downtime and weather delays
7. Verifying daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed on time and to standard

• Participate as a UAS Flight Operator in the hub who holds themselves accountable to high standards
• Act as a subject matter expert in Hub and Flight Operations

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Part 107 Remote Operator Certificate required
• Strong work ethic with an ownership mentality
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment
• Previous team leadership
• Experience in a mature, large scale aviation or drone operation required
• Demonstrated ability to manage a culture and ensure standards are met
• Solid experience interviewing and talent selection
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that will often include weekends and closing shifts
• Able to perform repeated movement of equipment and packages up to 50 lbs
