Based in Romania, this role is part of the Security DevOps team, which is responsible to help build and evolve our internal platform and support critical security operations applications. Using modern Python tools and frameworks, this incumbent will deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems, and automation workflows.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Job Responsibilities Include:</span></strong></p> <p><span>•    Design, develop, and optimize Python-based microservices for our internal platform and supporting infrastructure</span></p> <p><span>•    Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code and libraries<br/>•    Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability across environments<br/>•    Implement and maintain build processes using PANTS, UV, or other modern Python build tools<br/>•    Apply secure coding practices and contribute to platform compliance with internal security standards<br/>•    Work closely with DevOps, product, and design teams to ship secure, reliable features<br/>•    Conduct code reviews and share best practices with peers<br/>•    Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in Python and secure software development<br/></span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Basic Qualifications:</span></strong><span><br/>•    Proficiency in frameworks and libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, and SQLAlchemy</span></p> <p><span>•    Experience with PANTS, UV, or similar build systems<br/>•    Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)<br/>•    Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies<br/>•    Experience with automated testing frameworks and writing unit/integration tests<br/>•    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)<br/>•    Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)<br/>•    Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)<br/>•    Exposure to security and compliance practices in software development<br/>•    Experience with Python type checking (e.g., MyPy) and linting tools (e.g., Flake8, Black)<br/>•    Familiarity with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture<br/>•    Familiarity with AI augmented development workflows.</span></p> <p><span>•    Availability for 24/7 work shifts. </span></p> <p><strong><span>Preferred Skills:</span></strong><span><br/>•    5+ years of professional experience in Python software development.</span></p> <p><span>•    Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering</span></p> <p><span>•    Certifications in Python development, cloud technologies, or DevOps</span></p> <p> </p><p><span><strong><u>About NTT DATA</u></strong></span></p> <p><span>NTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
