As a Analytical Chemist, you are responsible for:
- Conducting research and experiments to analyze data and test hypotheses to gain an understanding of products and processes
- Applying sophisticated scientific understanding to research or development problems to provide inventive solutions toward new development efforts
- Collaborating with research and manufacturing functions throughout product development cycle projects to ensure successful project delivery
- Communicating research results to stakeholders through reports and presentations
- Creating and protecting intellectual property for our company to ensure ownership of our products and designs
- Performing laboratory sample preparation, laboratory analysis, interpreting data, providing written reports, and performing instrument troubleshooting as needed
- Presenting to internal teams on metrics, project status and research, and providing technical support and service.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience with an analytical chemistry laboratory.
- Would strongly prefer experience with but not limited to sample preparation, instrumentation, analysis, and data interpretation for IC (ion chromatography) and/or ICP-OES (inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy) and/or deposits analysis.
- Have significant experience and a fundamental understanding of the analyses of discrete organic molecules as well as polymers
- Have the ability to develop new test methods for in-depth product characterization
- Show a solid understanding of structure-property relationships
- Be able to show excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills
- Previous experience taking projects from conception to completion with various teams within the organization
- Must be willing and able to present information to various levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
