The Director of Career Innovation & Experiential Learning will lead a cutting-edge, future-focused approach to career readiness for students and alumni in the School of Health Sciences (SHS) at Quinnipiac University. This leader will reimagine career education by integrating emerging industry trends, digital tools, and experiential learning into a dynamic career ecosystem that prepares students for next-generation careers in the health industry.
With a deep understanding of the evolving health industry landscape, this role will bridge academia and industry, leveraging AI, digital health, and new workforce models to provide a customized, data-driven, and globally relevant career development experience. In partnership with the iQ central office, the Director will build strategic partnerships with community health partners, healthcare organizations, research institutions, and tech-driven health companies while supporting the integration of career and leadership development into the curriculum.

- Develop and implement a next-generation career innovation model that integrates digital transformation, career coaching, and personalized learning pathways.
- Combine labor market insight data and predictive analytics to proactively support student career trajectories.
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to embed career development into the academic experience, ensuring all students engage in real-world, competency-based learning experiences.
- Shape the school’s reputation as a hub for health sciences career excellence through thought leadership, public speaking, and industry engagement.
- Manage resources strategically, ensuring sustainability and scalability of innovative career initiatives.
- Innovative Career Development & Student Experience
- Build a customized career experience, using career mapping, virtual mentorship programs, and immersive simulations that reflect real-world challenges.
- Establish high-impact experiential learning opportunities, such as virtual internships, global health projects, and industry-sponsored hackathons.
- Lead initiatives that prepare students for the digital health economy, including telemedicine, health informatics, and biotech entrepreneurship.
- Expand leadership and professional development programming, ensuring students cultivate essential skills in interdisciplinary teamwork, adaptability, and ethical innovation.
- Industry & Employer Partnerships
- Develop transformative partnerships with healthcare organizations, community health partners, digital health startups, and public health agencies to expand career pathways beyond traditional roles.
- Design future-forward employer engagement strategies, including job-matching, industry micro-credentials, and real-time labor market insights.
- Engage with the SHS Executive Leadership Council to ensure career services remain responsive to workforce needs and emerging health sector trends.
