This role will be based on the Washington DC area. It is a hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Reston, VA office.  Description: Synergy BIS is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect in support of initiatives related to corporate growth, digital transformation, modernization, and enterprise strategy. This role is a highly visible, requiring an extensive background and operational experience in architectural engagements, familiarity with major industry products and frameworks, a deep comprehension of industry standards and implementation techniques paired with a proven track record of leading technology during client engagements and modernization efforts. This position includes developing solutions for business opportunities, producing architectural artifacts and transitional roadmaps, supporting system design, prototyping, team mentoring and many other leadership activities in a dynamic client and business partner facing atmosphere. Essential Functions & Duties:  

• Engaging project teams, industry partners, and customers during business acquisition phases and for all capture activities
• Produces technical solutions, authors compelling narratives for RFP responses and supports key personnel requirements during procurement phases such as orals, technical challenges, etc.
• Collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop a deep and thorough understanding of the client enterprise while leading large, multi-year program initiatives
• Produces vision and strategy collateral, and creates roadmaps to guide modernization efforts
• Applies a proven track record of portfolio assessments, target technology and IT landscape specifications and technical asset configuration to meet digital transformation objectives
• Implements and manages the architecture definition using formal delivery and agile lifecycle methods
• Serves as one of the primary technological points of contact in the organization, responsible for guidance and overarching technical oversight, governance, architecture alignment and construction efforts, including team leadership and mentoring
• Contributes to vendor interactions and the effectuation of products, services, platform(s) and other solutions for alliances and on program with customers
• Develops effective standards, leads technical resources, monitors and mitigates services delivery risk, quality, security, tools adoption, etc., and ensures success in the execution of these areas
• Participates in, and leads formal technology evaluations, proofs of concept and other R&D activity, providing client demonstrations and various solutioning and educational presentations to assert vetting, making recommendations and facilitating client buy-in
• Coordinates and collaborates in developing mission requirements and business outcomes with executive leadership, business stakeholders, various technical teams, contractors, etc.
• Serves as the technical strategy and solutions champion, fostering adoption of emerging technologies, resolving issues, responding to questions, and prescribing technical propositions by working directly with leadership, staff, and contractors
• Authors and presents documentation, briefings, SLAs and technical standards for the architectural runway
• Works closely, leads and coordinates with other architects and additional members of the technical leadership and all other program teams
