About the role

The Chief of Staff is a pivotal strategic role supporting the SVP of NAM DX Lab Solutions. This Director-level individual contributor will partner closely with the SVP to align organizational priorities, drive execution of business plans, and ensure the effective implementation of the division’s vision. The role requires a high degree of strategic insight, operational discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Chief of Staff assists in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation, transforming ideas into reality and monitoring the progress of efforts. They collaborate across various levels of the organization to unite and orchestrate activities for the best business impact, overseeing daily operations in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team and other senior management to optimize organizational procedures for greater efficiency and productivity. Additionally, they prepare regular operational and executive-level reports and presentations to inform the current state of the business

Responsibilities:

​​You will work with the Head of NAM DX Lab Solutions and the respective Management Team, and your activities will span from leading high-profile projects to hands-on, content driven supporting activities

  • ​Assume ownership of strategic projects that create measurable business impact.
  • Oversee daily operations in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team and senior management to optimize organizational procedures for greater efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage the annual meeting cadence for the management team and ensure efficient information flow across internal stakeholders.
  • Plan, facilitate, and document strategic workshops and regular leadership meetings.
  • Support monthly performance reporting for the NAM DX Lab Solutions team by providing templates, tracking actions, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Lead the monthly commercial performance reporting for Global DX and the business lines Core Lab Solutions and Specialty Lab Solutions.
  • Prepare targeted presentations and talking points for the SVP for internal and external engagements, including performance dialogues, leadership meetings, town halls, customer visits, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Deliver regular operational and executive-level reports and presentations to communicate the current state of the business.
  • Conduct ad hoc research, provide analysis, and deliver insights to support key decision-making.
  • Act as the go-to person for internal requests directed to the Commercial organization.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Proven experience in a strategic, operational, or Chief of Staff role within a complex, matrixed organization, preferably in diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Knowledge and certification in a management performance system such as six-sigma, lean or the Healthineers Performance System is a plus
  • You enjoy working in commercial teams and are motivated and enthusiastic about your tasks. Proven track record in leading teams, managing complex projects, and optimizing business performance within matrixed organizations
  • Skilled in data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to influence without authority.
  • You use your strong interpersonal skills to develop and leverage relationships and networks across the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience required; diagnostics industry strongly preferred
  • Preference is given to candidates based in or near Tarrytown, NY.
