The role of Mechanic 8 is to have efficiently running production and manufacturing equipment and assist with capital projects.

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

• Installation of material handling and processing equipment.
• Change over and Setup packaging equipment.
• Maintenance of the machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical problems.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, other mechanics and outside vendors.
• Help organize and maintain the parts supply inventory.
• Perform all responsibilities with good safety and housekeeping practices.
• Improve the performance and efficiency of the machines.
• Effectively participate as a team member on various projects.

 

Key Performance Indications:

• • % of distribution downtime
  • % of work order and preventive maintenance done on time
  • Improve safety/5S

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Essential:

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in industrial maintenance or similar preferred

 

Knowledge:

Power wiring:

• Replace a motor
• Install a switch
• Isolate power and lock it out
