We currently have an opportunity for a talented and creative Assistant Manager to join our team! Reporting into the Restaurant General Manager. This role assists in overseeing all facets of the outlet . The assistant manager must maintain and control a high level of guest service. This is achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service, demonstrated by the restaurant staff. The assistant manager is also responsible for the hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining of the staff.
What you will do
The Assistant General Manager will assist the Restaurant Manager in the following areas:
Assist with selecting, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, and coaching all employees.
Be visible during operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
Assist in controlling labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control. Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
What you Bring:
High School or College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required
3-5 years in Food and beverage industry, serving and/or related food and beverage experience in a high volume upscale, environment.
Must have at least 2 years experience in Food and Beverage management.
Must be able to display a thorough knowledge of business acumen including managing guest service, cost control in F&B, labor controls, menu writing, maintenance, merchandising and accounting
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Food and beverage knowledge a must
