The Major Gifts Senior Manager oversees a donor portfolio of high-profile supporters and is responsible for discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans that deepen donor engagement and bolster major gifts support for all of Habitat Charlotte Region programs. This position will work closely with team members, community advocates, and high-net worth donors to elevate the Habitat brand and presence across Habitat’s GSA: Iredell, Mecklenburg, and Gaston counties.
This position will require exceptional communications and marketing skills, a willingness to travel and engage community partners across the Charlotte Region, and a passion for Habitat’s work. This position will work with team members to support other departmental responsibilities and any other development-related duties assigned by the Director of Development.

Manage Discovery processes that qualify and disqualify donors as Major Gift Prospects

Cultivate a warm and inviting environment for donors to deepen their engagement and understanding of Habitat’s work and overall impact on the community

Solicit donors, asking them to stretch their financial giving to make major and planned gifts in Habitat’s work

Solicit donors, inviting them to engage in advocacy and community building to bolster support throughout the donors' personal and professional networks.

Steward donors and gifts in a timely and appropriate manner, celebrating their philanthropic contributions and providing donors with outstanding investor experience

Maintain a menu of engagement and investment opportunities for donors in portfolio

Work with the Annual Fund team on effective moves-management strategies to increase individual giving

Manage systems that track donor behavior, patterns of giving, and target ask in Salesforce, providing full transparency across forecast and action plans

A collaborative team player who can work independently, with the discipline to manage a remote schedule and contribute effectively without a dedicated office space.
