Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Maintenance Technician 4 to support our Armament Systems site located in Mesa, Arizona.
Position Summary:
- Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
- Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, machine controls, electrical, sheet metal fabrication and welding
- Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
- Uses hand and power tools
- Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
- Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
- Drywall and painting experience.
- Able to lift over 50lbs.
- Order parts, equipment, etc.
- Electrical and Plumbing experience.
- Hazmat trained or willing to get certified in Hazwoper, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of experience working in a manufacturing industry, maintenance, and/or construction environment
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Ability to work a 4/10 schedule; Mon-Thurs, 10-hour workdays.
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hazmat trained or Hazwoper certified
- Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry
- Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook
- Good communication skills
