Mission Statement
At Amentum, we are dedicated to advancing the capabilities and safety of the U.S. Army through comprehensive support at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC), located within the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. As a pivotal testing hub under the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, our mission is to conduct rigorous evaluations of chemical and biological defense systems, as well as incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of effectiveness and reliability. We also extend our expertise to support a broad spectrum of non-CB assessments for the Department of Defense and other federal entities, encompassing environmental assessments, impact evaluations, and munitions demilitarization.
Since our establishment in 2004 through the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services contract, Amentum has fostered a strong partnership with Mellor Engineering, TOPE, and JRAD, creating a specialized team of over 170 professionals. Together, we are committed to delivering superior testing and support services, enhancing the operational readiness and safety of military personnel and equipment.
Our Dugway Operation was established in 2004 with the award of the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services (FRC&LSS) contract to Jacobs. Through the FRC&LSS contract, we have integrated with Mellor Engineering, TOPE, and JRAD with a composite staff size of more than 170 personnel.
Here's What You'll Need:
Education and Experience:
- Knowledgeable and trained in electronics and at least five (5) years’ experience in the calibration, operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic test equipment/instrumentation on various control circuitry, including flow control and monitoring equipment, temperature, and monitoring control circuitry.
- Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses of existing systems, making system calculations to determine proper design changes, troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, and assesses complex test instruments and techniques relating to test fixtures, control systems, and data acquisition systems in support of chamber testing.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements:
Medium- Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Work Environment:
Generally an outdoor environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).
Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot and cold climates.
Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management.
No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.
Office is located on site in Government spaces at: Dugway Proving Ground, UT.
Equipment and Machines:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance:
Regular hours will be between Monday-Thursday
