Screenprint & Embroidery Quality Control:
QUALITY CONTORL: WHERE ATTENTOIN TO DETA IL IS A MUTS
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Lead, this position is accountable for monitoring and ensuring quality control for all garments produced. Communicate with team members when garments are imperfect and need to be redone. Fold, tag, box and count garments, record styles and quantities of garments produced and prepare them for high post production or shipping.
A Typical Day (job functions) | Inspect + Sort + Fold + Count + Monitor + Organize
- Inspect all garments for correct ink/thread colors, proper logo placement, labels and general flaws
- Communicate with, or walk to, inventory department to gather garments needed.
- Trim loose threads, trim backing, and coloring threads
- Maintain Lakeshirts acceptable standard of quality per garment
- Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/garment style and prepare them for shipping
- Read and understand work orders and profiles to ensure each account is processed correctly
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Organize work flow
- Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
- Works actively with others to get the job done
- Other duties as assigned
Embroidery Kitting:
KITTING, NOT KITTEN. REMEMBER, WE'RE DOG PEOPLE. BUT CATS ARE OK.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Under the direction of the Embroidery Supervisors, this position is accountable for gathering the supplies needed for Embroidery Machine Operators. This position includes selecting thread, foiling the material, assigning orders to Machine Operators. The kitter retrieves the threads once the order is complete. The kitter will work out diagnostic problems and problem solve by working with the Digitizing Department and/or Rep Coordinator. The kitter has an understanding of all colors offered in each fabric type. The Kitter helps determine workflow for machine operators, and is accountable for all rush orders that arise.
A Typical Day (job functions) | Gather + Organize + Kitt Work to the Flow
- Retrieves threads, foils fabric and prints instructions for each order.
- Delivers order to machine operator
- Adjusts daily workflow according to supervisor's instructions
- Print out templates for screen appliqué orders
- Communicate effectively with other departments when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Screenprint Kitting:
KITTING, NOT KITTEN. REMEMBER, WE'RE DOG PEOPLE. BUT CATS ARE OK.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Under the direction of the Screenprint Supervisor, this position is responsible for gathering garments and screens for individual orders and 'kitting' them to Screenprint Machine Operators. This position includes unboxes garments that were pulled from Inventory, and verifying screens associated with order, then using Lakeshirts systems to ensure each machine has the appropriate workflow. The Kitter helps determine workflow for machine operators, and is accountable for all rush orders that arise.

- Pair garments with associated screens for each customer order
- Deliver orders to machine operators
- Adjust daily workflow, according to supervisor's instructions
- Communicate effectively with other departments, as needed
- Rotate and work in areas as needed
- Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
- Works actively with others to get the job done
- Other duties as assigned
