Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations, the Sr. LVN is responsible for coordinating patient flow, assist the lead LVN to adjust medical assistant/LVN staffing and performing associated nursing services. This includes checking in patients, interviewing patients, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, completing intake questionnaire with patients or family members, recording services in patient charts, uploading scans. Interact with staff, patients, faculty and residents to maximize patient care, patient satisfaction, and physician satisfaction. Administrative responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordinate and monitor LVN/medical assistant staff, adjust staffing on daily basis to maintain efficient operations, ensure that Joint Commission standards are maintained at all times, monitor the medical staff and ensure maintenance and upkeep of the facility, maintaining stock of clinical supplies, distributing mail and stocking exam rooms. The Sr. LVN is responsible for participating in the Quality Assurance process and must maintain professional standards. Translate Spanish/English for providers as needed.

Salary Range: $36.34 - $47.94 Hourly

Required:

• Current California LVN license
• Possession of current BCLS certification
• I.V certification
• Experience working with neurological patient population.
• Excellent blood withdrawal skills
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients
• Working knowledge of abnormal laboratory values
• Ability to recognize and intervene in emergency situations.
• Skill in usage of medical diagnostic equipment, as well as working knowledge of instruments and supplies required to perform clinical procedures and physical examinations.
• Ability to effectively elicit pertinent clinical information such as presenting complaints from patients and referring professional, and make appropriate assignments based on established guidelines.
• Ability to accept direction from administration and act promptly.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, peers, physicians and administrators.
