Opportunity 

Join an innovative team at the intersection of healthcare and advanced technology. As the Technical Lead Manager of the Data Platform team, you will have the unique opportunity to lead, design, and develop the next-generation data store and data pipeline at Twin, driving the foundation for our data-driven AI products and scaling our growing business. You’ll manage a team of software engineers and collaborate with teams of passionate engineers, data analysts, and AI experts who are committed to innovation, scalability, and excellence.

Responsibilities 

  • Own, maintain, and evolve the company-wide data lakehouse and ELT data pipelines with Snowflake, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Operate the current architecture with high reliability while designing, implementing, and evolving the next-generation data platform to improve scalability, performance, and privacy.
  • Lead the Data Platform team, drive architecture decisions, and execute projects to successfully deliver outcomes with your team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform Engineering, Infra, AI, Analytics, Product, and Finance teams to define and execute data-driven initiatives and strategies.
  • Support essential operational requests while driving automation, monitoring, and self-service solutions to eliminate toil and enhance team productivity.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, fostering technical excellence, career development, continuous learning, and ownership.
  • Clearly understand business problems, prioritize projects and tasks based on business impact and urgency, and drive high-impact data initiatives with the team, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 1+ years of technical leadership.
  • Strong expertise in modern data architectures, including cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks) and ELT data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks (Snowflake, Spark, Flink, or similar).
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Databricks, or similar) and data pipeline automation.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data governance best practices.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing and high-impact engineering teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, align team planning with business priorities, and filter requests to ensure focus on high-impact work.
  • Passion for mentoring and growing engineers while maintaining a hands-on technical role.
  • This remote opportunity is available to US based persons. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML pipelines is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool).
  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and version control systems (Git).
  • Experience working in fast-pace
