Physical Therapy Technician/Aide

Description

 As a Physical Therapy Technician at our progressive outpatient orthopedics clinic, you will play a vital role in assisting our licensed physical and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include aiding in patient exercises and therapies, preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized clinic environment. Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• High school graduate and/or intern preferred
• Demonstrate interest in the rehabilitation and/or healthcare field
• Energetic, compassionate, and a team player
• Able to comfortably communicate with patients in a positive manner
• Complete tasks timely and thoroughly
• Able to multitask and prioritize job duties

Responsibilities include:

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities under the direction of licensed therapists.
• Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
• Monitor patients during exercises to ensure proper technique and safety.
• Provide hands-on assistance to patients as needed, including applying therapeutic modalities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, including sanitizing equipment between uses.
•  Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Help educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with the patients.
