Description
As a Physical Therapy Technician at our progressive outpatient orthopedics clinic, you will play a vital role in assisting our licensed physical and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include aiding in patient exercises and therapies, preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized clinic environment. Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
- High school graduate and/or intern preferred
- Demonstrate interest in the rehabilitation and/or healthcare field
- Energetic, compassionate, and a team player
- Able to comfortably communicate with patients in a positive manner
- Complete tasks timely and thoroughly
- Able to multitask and prioritize job duties
Responsibilities include:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions.
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities under the direction of licensed therapists.
- Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Monitor patients during exercises to ensure proper technique and safety.
- Provide hands-on assistance to patients as needed, including applying therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, including sanitizing equipment between uses.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Help educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with the patients.
