About the role

SUMMARYThe Business Development Relationship Manager is a highly collaborative, influential, and experienced leader responsible for developing and meeting objectives and participating in creating policies and/or practices in the area emphasizing membership growth and community engagement. This is accomplished through the exercise of discretion and independent judgment, which is shown through leadership, developing, maintaining, and cultivating relationships with the credit union’s SEG partners and the community.  The Business Development Relationship Manager will also assist in managing third-party partners and events for Mirastar’s volunteer and financial educational programs. They are responsible for managing the functions of the Business Development experience, by helping to create and enforce best practices and internal policies and procedures consistent with industry standards and legal and regulatory requirements to ensure the implementation of the organization’s strategic objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, the management and oversight of the following area functions: 1.         Member experience2.         Measurement of performance – Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)3.         Process engineering and improvement4.         Campaign Management5.         Development of team members 6.         Promoting a consultative culture7.         Volunteer Hours QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. ·         Education and/or Experience: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing, business development, and/or equivalent working experience. Demonstrated leadership roles in previous positions desirable.·         Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: None required.·         Geographical Location: This position may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Individuals working in this position must be located within the state of California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrimary functions include, but are not limited to the following estimated breakdown of primary responsibilities: ·         (30%) Initiate and develop relationships with key prospects to identify tailored banking needs. Act as the initiator, facilitator, and liaison between key prospects and the credit union, including but not limited to delivering presentations that could require some amount of customization, while also performing customized research before meeting with key prospects.·         (20%) Use professional expertise in creating, administering, and implementing business development strategies and tactics for the Credit Union.·         (30%) Represent the Credit Union during and outside of normal business hours; conduct outreach with community organizations, employers, formal education programs, sponsors, and other similar organizations that support our local community. Initiate contact, develop, and maintain relationships with community-based organizations. Provide exceptional service to members, community partners, and team members and be aligned with the organizational mission, vision, and core values.·         (10%) Create and promote opportunities for volunteerism at County Federal. Execute and participate in charitable events and/or large organizational initiatives.·         (10%) Capture the needs of SEG partners and the community and partner with the AVP of Business Development and internal teams for solution development. As part of the responsibilities listed above, the Business Development Relationship Manager will also lead the following: ·         Maintain relationships with SEG partners to ensure engagement success.·         Achieve sales goals, metrics, and milestones.·         Assist in managing the Credit Union’s financial literacy program.·         Provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, project proposals, and business trends in the immediate market area.·         Actively manage and direct all daily operations of Business Development to ensure efficiency and optimal member service levels.
