Role Specific Information

Primarily responsible for improved facilities efficiency achieved through the consistent understanding and execution of best practices. This Manager will lead & manage the field facilities team to ensure we maintain & repair Kohl's property as necessary in a cost-effective manner that meets Kohl's quality standards.

Job Description

Facilities 

  • Hire, Onboard,  Lead and manage the Field Facilities Specialists to ensure all maintenance work is completed, meeting all safety and quality standards.

  • Ensure the maintenance of Kohl's property & stores within budgetary guidelines & resources 

  • Ensure the consistent execution of all store facilities best practices  to ensure proper care of our associates, customers and assets.  Problem solving execution challenges as needed.

    • Contract Clean program

    • Ensure store maintenance program 

    • Esupport ticket process

    • Facilities Special projects

    • Capital Projects ( Select Projects )

  • Conduct routine visits of all stores and property and follow up on deficiencies

  • Evaluate performance and communicate with a network of R&M Vendors

  • Conduct quarterly on site reviews with 3rd party vendors ( CAM, LL, Contract Clean and R&M )

  • Work with Landlords and enforce lease agreement compliance

  • Follow up with any incomplete or unsatisfactory work completed by vendors,  including Contract Clean within a territory to drive most value for Kohl's, ensuring contract compliance and that Kohl’s standards are met.  Partner with Supervisor when vendors are out of compliance

  • Coordinate disaster recovery preparations in partnership with Corporate Facilities

  • Identify opportunities to contain or reduce costs

 

Leadership

  • Overall leadership of Field Facilities Specialists. Lead 8-12 facility specialists across territory.

  • Provide consistent, clear communication to Store leadership teams that includes exception and outlier based reporting

  • Share facilities vendor performance concerns with corporate vendor partnership owners to ensure they can drive vendor compliance and accountability.

  • Develops Field specialist teams through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans.

  • Ensure all Field Specialists are in compliance to Kohls  Best Practices for Travel and Mileage Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PREFERRED

    • Proven leader who is results-oriented, builds teams and partnerships and capable of understanding our facilities

    • Capable of leading a hourly team from afar and working with all levels of Management

    • Self directed and motivated individual comfortable working in collaborative environment

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail or related field preferred

    • Significant travel required including overnight stays

    • Experience in multi-property management or operations management

  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • Regular attendance is required

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

    • Comfortable with Google Technology ( Calendar, Docs, Spreadsheets )

    • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others

    • Self directed and motivated individual

    • Models, leads, trains and motivates others to be effective at identifying process improvements and effectiveness

  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Significant Travel Required: 3 Weeks Travel per Month
