As the Senior Product Architect for the Luxury Team, you will lead a team of senior and principal software and hardware system engineers in translating product and user experience needs into detailed system and sub-system requirements, specifications, and architecture. You will drive the overall technical strategy in collaboration with cross-functional hardware and software development leaders.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of making strategic trade-offs across competing business requirements, customer needs, and technical solutions to deliver market-leading, high-end audio products. You will work closely with talented engineering leaders to foster a culture that values innovation, world-class engineering, and exceptional customer experiences.
Additionally, you will play a key role in building the team of technical leaders for the new Luxury portfolio and will be accountable for the technical performance and integrity of these best-in-class products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the overall standard for Luxury Product Engineering orchestrating the delivery of products and major SW features.
- Build a team of Product engineers in support of Luxury Audio business.
- Provide critical thinking and problem-solving oversight.
- Blocking-and-tackling, as needed, to enable development team success.
- Remove roadblocks, escalate and resolve blocking of non-project/program issues across the business.
- Work closely with other functional directors & managers to staff and support the active, prioritized Product and SW Experience portfolio.
- Stakeholder for System Design Review process and accountable for quality of deliverables to SDR.
- Identify, lead, and/or participate in process and work improvement charters and efforts.
- Change agent, driven to continuously improve our ability to deliver world class experiences for our customers.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience developing HW (Electro, Mechanical, Acoustical Products) + SW (Embedded, Firmware, Low-Level SW) products, preferably in consumer electronics or similar product segment
- Experience translating user and business needs & requirements into system specifications and architectural approaches
- BS in Engineering discipline required, MS preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience developing embedded SW as well as physical products, preferably in consumer electronics or similar product segment
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Classic Systems/Product Engineering fundamentals to architect and deliver complex HW+SW systems
- Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex and/or loosely-bounded problems, both technical and organizational/procedural, into solvable components or structure
- Experience managing teams to a budget, as well as a thorough understanding of new product business plans and financial analyses. Business acumen strongly desired
