Ergon Business Process Management Department has an opening for an Industrial Engineer. The role involves drafting and designing equipment, materials, and workspace layouts to maximize efficiency. It includes reviewing production schedules, engineering specifications, and related information to understand manufacturing methods and procedures. Additionally, the position leads and facilitates the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes. This position offers a wide range of daily responsibilities and dynamic workload. We are seeking a driven and meticulous person to join our team.

Industrial Engineer Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency. Implement the changes.
• Apply tools to improve process capability, eliminate defects, improve on-time delivery and achieve cost saving targets.
• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
• Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
• Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
• Lead, facilitate and drive the use of Lean Manufacturing methodologies throughout production activities and work processes.
• Lead cross functional project teams providing continuous quality improvement. • Conduct time, motion, capacity and utilization studies.
• Identify, analyze and implement improvements in costs, quality, workflow and delivery. Manage, lead and/or participate in assigned projects.
• Create project documentation including project plans, meeting notes and customer feedback surveys.
• Organize information and complete customer writing deliverables in accordance with Ergon Procedure Writer's Guide requirements.
• Confer with customers and/or subject matter experts to determine technical content or subject material when creating documents.
• Edit and revise technical, operational or administrative documents prepared by other writers.

Industrial Engineer Education and Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering or other technical degree
• Demonstrated project leadership skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Effective communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work directly in a diverse group of manufacturing/industrial/office settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
• Knowledge of voluntary consensus standards and management systems desirable
• Ability to travel extensively
