About the role

If so, this Finance Partner Manager role with Gross to Net Operations could be an excellent opportunity to explore.

As part of the US Commercial finance partnering team, the finance manager role is critical to support business decision making based on business and financial data analysis and insights.

The role will provide you the opportunity to build deep business understanding, lead finance partnering activities at management level across the organization, and increase your analytical capability to progress your career, including some of the following.

  • Understanding of the US market dynamics and customer segments of all brands
  • Preparing financial and data analytics, summarizing key insights, and presenting to management
  • Modelling / what if scenario planning to support portfolio analysis, market understanding, brand portfolio analysis, and cost management
  • Modelling Working Capital forecasts and scenarios (including brands / segments analysis)
  • Preparation of various management presentations
  • Experience working in cross functional matrix teams
  • Experience working with diverse teams of finance partners and the business
  • Develop Analyst(s) by nurturing strong finance partnering capabilities and exemplifying GSK culture within US Finance

Key responsibilities include:                           

Financial and data analytics

Completing financial analysis across multiple brands and business units

Owning and summarizing key insights for finance and business partners and upper management

Standardization and optimization of processes, automation of reports and data management

Ensure month end accruals, payments and other close related items are completed accurately and on time

Preparing a balance sheet forecast for US Commercial and ViiV Gross to Net activities

Completing all Corporate and Head Office reporting requirements, Investor Relations deliverables and audit and tax requests

Cost center analysis and reporting to key stakeholders

Completing adhoc analysis as needed

Assess ROI and Planning

Assisting with investment modelling opportunities to support the business in making investment decisions when opportunities arise

Assisting with scenario planning to maximize use of resources

Working with finance partners to build and complete complex modelling and scenario planning

Pricing Optimization and market dynamics

Working closely with Commercial and US Payer Marketing teams to support proper pricing approval governance is followed and pricing information is timely updated in corresponding systems and approval workflows

Understanding overall market dynamics, relative market positioning of products against competitors, market access situation and future trends

Management presentations

Creating management presentations, leveraging key insights and facts, and support brand finance managers in their presentations

Primary finance support for in-scope stakeholders and act as a key advisor/partner

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics or Business (or degrees with Finance qualification) 
  • 5+ years ‘experience years finance experience, with Pharmaceutical Industry commercial finance experience
  • 3+ years matrix leadership experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Data management experience focusing on building and rolling out automated reports based on Alteryx, PowerBI or related tool to support finance partners and stakeholders on decision making.
  • Deep understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry, and commercial finance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Graduate degree in Business (MBA), in Science (M.Sc)
  • Experience providing clear and concise messaging to multiple management levels.
  • Experience with patient claims data and patient flow modeling.
  • Deep understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry, and commercial finance experience Strong learning agility to build business acumen.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
