The manager is responsible for overall organization, financial/budgetary, planning, personnel and management of the core laboratory. This individual is responsible for clinical, technical, administrative, regulatory, and financial management and improvement of core laboratory programs to ensure effectiveness, quality and efficiency. This individual is accountable and responsible for the overall core laboratory operations to include but not limited to setting objectives, planning, staffing, and managing activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility including laboratory, anatomic pathology, and transfusion services. The manager ensures professional and customer focused core laboratory services to meet the needs of customers in accordance with accepted standards and practices as well as develops operational infrastructure and implements processes to support new business opportunities and technologies.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology
- National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Chemist Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Hematology Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License upon hire, Or
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License upon hire.
- 5 years sufficient experience in all areas of the laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in health care management, or equivalent education/ experience
