Other duties include becoming familiar and staying current with EPA requirements, state policy and regulations. This position is also responsible for researching and summarizing various air pollution topics and presenting material in reports or orally to fellow staff members.
Further responsibilities include developing technical and scientific knowledge related to air pollution abatement and control, pollution prevention and multimedia environmental protection.
Activities associated with these programs generally include: communicating with the regulated community, other state agencies, federal government, and general public; analyzing and reporting of data; providing technical support to other divisions and state agencies; providing training, education, and outreach; tracking federal and state legislation and regulations; participating in the development of new and amended regulations and policies; reviewing and testifying on proposed legislation; and participating in a number of state, regional and national committees relating to stationary source emissions and control strategies.
