Oracle GDI- Government, Defense & Intelligence has an exciting opportunity for a Director, AI Solutions Engineering 

 

This is hybrid position based in the VA/DC area.

As a Director, AI Solutions Engineering, you will be responsible for providing leadership and development to the Cloud Engineering Solutions Technical team. This includes delivering pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective mission customers. Understand the customer challenge, distill that challenge into an MVP, and manage the technical delivery using AI. Manage senior, principal and master principal level AI solutions engineers throughout the development cycle. Provide technical/functional leadership, guidance, and management to drive engagements with customers, both government and commercial. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

The requirements for this team spans Engineering, Development, Sales Consulting, and Post Sales Delivery:

• Development: Designing, developing, and coding bespoke AI solutions for Government and Commercial customers.  These solutions may also be demos reusable across GDI Towers. 
• Design: Design the MVP with the customer and technical team with the best value created for the customer. 
• Implementation: Co-build the AI solution with the customer and the Oracle technical team, involving Partners and Oracle Product Management where required.   

From ideation to delivery, the Director, AI Solutions Engineering is required to support a comprehensive engineering effort through direct hands-on development to include coding, configuration, testing, deployment within a structured Software Development Lifecycle. This will involve coding (e.g., Python, Java), integration with issue tracking (e.g., JIRA), integration with code repositories (e.g., GitHub), integration with IaC build tools (e.g., Terraform) all within a DevOps environment.

You must be a high-energy, strategic and technical authority leader possessing strong task prioritization abilities, with a performance-based track record of success. 

You will have demonstrated successful expertise with a cloud product technology company. You will be technically adept, possessing a broad combination of skills and experiences reflecting the complexities of Oracle and Oracle’s customers. 

• Minimum of 8 years leading and building a team of technical solution Engineers with demonstrated success.
• MUST have a minimum 5+ years working with and around the Government .
• Bachelor degree or equivalent. 
• Understands AI at a college level. 
• Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Science is highly preferred.
