Senior Simulation Tech Coordinator

The Senior Simulation Technology Coordinator coordinates and maintains all technology assets and initiatives related to medical simulation, audio/media, video-conference, and information technology. Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of medical simulation, audio/media, video-conference, and information technologies. Troubleshoots and resolves medical simulation equipment and technology issues.

Job Responsibilities

 

• Work collaboratively with content experts and various stakeholders to design and develop simulation scenarios.
• Effectively manages and documents medical simulation equipment and technology projects, purchases, implementation strategies, and installations.
• Maintains and updates medical simulation and technology equipment and software to prevent extended downtime and outages.
• Facilitates repair and replacement of medical simulation and technology equipment to ensure minimized downtime and impact to the department.
• Creates innovative and effective practices to proactively improve and maintain technologies to optimize capabilities and minimize technology and equipment issues.
• Mentors and provides instruction on simulation technician duties.
• Assesses medical simulation equipment and technology issues and implements a strategy for resolution based on best practices.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements For Consideration

• Location - Inova Fairfax Hospital 
• Minimum Education – Bachelors Degree in relevant field or 4 years experience in lieu of degree 
• Schedule - M-F 40 Hours a week, occasional weekends and evenings as needed
• Experience – 3 years of operating/managing medical simulation equipment, A/V and or IT experience
