About the role
Meta is hiring for an experienced Retail Program Manager to support the development of the Meta retail display portfolio in the Luxottica channel within North America. This reports into the Physical and Field merchandising lead for North America. The role will drive the planning and orchestration of physical go to market programs in a net new channel for Meta. The role may also support a variety of other projects that come up to progress the ongoing success of the team's programs as well as drive overarching process development for physical merchandising activities.
The program manager is responsible for maintaining the budgeting, planning and production of fixtures and graphics. The role involves extensive coordination and negotiation between fixture/graphic companies, internal cross-functional teams as well as external vendor partners, to ensure accurate and on time updates are delivered to stores or to third parties. - Partner with the Regional Lead to initiate, progress and deliver project activities in the Luxottica channel
- Build foundational understanding of this retail channel to support continued growth and net new display opportunities and initiatives
- Act as a key point of contact driving activity between global fixture vendor partners, graphic companies, channel marketing managers, creative and marketing
- Track and manage the financial aspect of projects. Use internal payment systems and tools to track progress payment activities. Work closely with team members to ensure all activities are on budget
- Work to identify areas to value engineer, negotiate with vendors on deliverables such as production, kitting & shipping costs
- Maintain project trackers to ensure all updates execute on time
- Work on internal process development, collaborate with team members to drive efficiencies for physical merchandising initiatives
- Organize vendor partner conference calls to track and updates and ensuring all deadline dates are on track
- Prepare internal communications to convey and drive understanding of project plans and activity status
- Review engineering, prototypes, digital and printed proofs for all programs with a keen eye for detail
- Understand fixture production processes in order to properly prepare workback schedules and deliverables with the broader organization
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing (design, engineering, fixtures and shipping costs)
- Understanding of third-party brick-and-mortar retail including first hand experience working with North American retail partners
- 5+ years of retail project management experience
- Understanding of the fixture design, development and implementation process
- Proficient in the creation and maintenance of project trackers across multiple programs and stakeholders
- Experience maintaining budgets
- Experience with navigating various organizational environments and competing priorities
- Experience in the optical industry
- Experience within the consumer electronics industry
- Experience working directly with Luxottica and their umbrella of retail brands
- Experience of qualitative and quantitative retail research projects and working with insights team to drive learnings and influence change
- First hand experience of the 2D artwork production process, from creative layout through to print production
- Experience within a brand executing a direct-to-consumer physical retail strategy
