Job Description: The Ying Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with an interest in studying epithelial cell fate choice during cancer initiation and tissue regeneration, utilizing advanced murine models. Leveraging our highly efficient in-utero lentivirus injection technology (Cell Stem Cell 2020), cutting edge imaging and barcoded lineage tracing approaches (Nature Cell Biology 2018), we recently identified unique driver lesion combinations in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and molecular strategies for promoting targeted regeneration in radiation-damaged salivary glands (See our disease models, mission & approach).

Technical Duties:
In-utero injection, Confocal microscopy on both sectioned and whole-mount tissues, Sequencing library preparation, Standard molecular and cellular biology assays, Mouse genotyping.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field.
• At least one first author publication.
• Experience in developmental or cancer biology preferred, but not required.
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the ISMMS and the Sinai Postdoctoral Organizing Committee - UAW.

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $73,588.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
