Technician, Clinical AJob Description Summary
The primary function of this position is to perform clinical laboratory testing on companion animals using both automated and manual techniques in all sections of the lab; this includes hematology, chemistry, coagulation, cytology, blood banking, immunology.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation and testing of laboratory specimens, following established protocol
- Review and release of results; communicate with pathologists and/or clinicians regarding abnormal results
- Performing daily quality control, evaluating results/trends, communicating abnormal results to supervisors/lead technician(s)
- Accessioning specimens, answering phones, preparing specimens for shipment
- Teaching veterinary students in laboratory classes, on rotations through clinical laboratory
- Laboratory organization, inventory management, restocking laboratory supplies
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

$15.63 - $22.00 Hourly RateSalary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
