What you’ll do
As the Field Sales Sr. Operations Specialist at SimpliSafe, you will support the success of our growing field sales team. You will directly support our sales representatives by ensuring they have inventory on hand to sell, handling their escalations and questions, and managing compliance across the force. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills and a commitment to operational excellence, allowing our sales representatives to focus on driving sales and acquiring new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory across our sales network to ensure adequate product on hand to meet sales demands and customer needs.
- Coordinate with supply chain to process and track shipments to sales offices – and ensure acceptance and stocking at those offices.
- Leverage inventory planning / management tool.
- Audit 3rd party sales offices, confirming inventory positions and potential loss.
- Sales Representative Support & Escalation Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field sales representatives regarding escalations (e.g. issue with order flow, customer order information) and questions.
- Facilitate resolution to escalations with other departments (e.g., Customer Experience, Ecommerce), and provide timely and effective solutions to issues, minimizing disruption to sales activities.
- Manage customer order issues in our CRM to make sure customers receive proper hardware.
- Compliance & Process Management:
- Manage compliance cases across our sales network; processing proper documentation, maintaining compliance case libraries, and conducting audits.
- Build proactive compliance dashboards that provide visibility to potential issues.
- Collaborate with legal and people teams to ensure proper licensing and documentation is on file for offices and sales representatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standardized operational processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Operational Enablement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains across each of the main categories above.
- Own communication and processes with proper cross-functionals.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in sales operations, field support, forecasting, or a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. This includes balancing prompt responses to urgent in-field escalations with long-term planning to prevent future issues (e.g., inventory on hand).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong ability to prioritize
- Proficiency in Google Office and/or Microsoft Office Suites (especially Google Sheets / Excel).
- Experience with inventory planning tool a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Knowledge of sales processes and field sales dynamics is a plus.
