Unarmed Officer - Health Center

Provide a safe, functional, supportive, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Assuring the safety and protection of occupants, building and grounds, real and personal property, against injury, molestation, loss, or damage from any preventable cause.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Perform regularly scheduled patrols of client facilities according to established requirements.
• During patrol, turn off any unnecessary lights, check and secure doors and gates.
• Make sure unauthorized persons do not have access onto property.
• Maintain high visibility, answer routine questions for directions and handle minor problems.
• In case of an emergency, summon appropriate assistance, such as the local Fire, EMT and/or Police Department.
• Monitor and operate building intrusion detection system and other protection devices/equipment.
• Periodically monitor 24-hour digitally recorded surveillance system. Recordings shall be secured on the premises. Security will report any failure of the equipment to Servexo Dispatch.

•  Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to legally work in the United States 
• Must have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent 
• Must have an active California Issued Guard Card
• Proficient in the English language, both orally and written 
• Shows mature judgment, reliability, dependability, tactfulness and self-control 
• Ability to retain composure and perform under pressure and to know when to call for assistance 
• Ability to meet and deal effectively with the general public  
• Ability to give instructions clearly and concisely, firmly but diplomatically 
• Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports 
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations 
• Ability to wear and use all protective equipment   
• Must be able to pass background check 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Physically able to perform all general patrol duties, functions, and activities 
• Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties 
• Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, climb (running when necessary) 
• Ability to work in extreme weather like rain, snow, and extreme heat or cold 
• Must possess good vision, depth perception, distinguish basic colors 
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively through clear speech and hearing 
• Adhere to clients grooming standards including being clean shaven at all times while on shift, no extreme makeup or nail polish and having no jewelry worn in such a manner as to present safety hazard to individual or distraction of professional appearance.   
• Must be able to pass drug screening.
