About the role

Work Flexibility: Onsite

2nd Shift: Mon – Thurs 5PM - 3:30PM

What you will do: 

As a machinist I, you will  support a manufacturing work cell. It requires a working knowledge of manufacturing / production processes required to CNC or manual machine a product.  You will cross-train into new work processes as products are developed and are integrated into production as required.

  • Machining -operating CNC/ manual metal forming machines such as mills, lathes to produce quality parts while meeting production quantities.
  • Communication - passing of information between personnel, management, engineering, etc
  • Device History Management - correctly filling out and checking all of the required data sheets and routers for the products produced.
  • Secondary operations -performing operations required for production but not necessarily on a daily basis such as but not limited to: laser, metal finishing/ robot, issuing / receiving parts, preventive maintenance.
  • Data entry - correctly entering required production data into systems used by Stryker for business purposes.
  • New processes - working with Engineering on developing / proving out processes for new products and / or making improvements to existing processes.

Preferred Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of blueprint reading, measuring instruments, SPC, GD&T, and basic computer applications
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in CNC machining
