JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Title: Manufacturing Technician II

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Plant Manager

Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.00
(Actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience)

SUMMARY:
Responsible for all aspects of the production process including electrical wiring, metal and PVC plumbing, fabrication, subassembly, assembly, and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support management in creating all safety procedures and documentation.
2. Lead Production Team in all Newterra Safety Trainings.
3. Identify and communicate any safety hazards in the workplace.
4. Communicate any parts needs through proper channels.
5. Interpret all Production Reference Materials and identify discrepancies including any errors or needed materials.
6. Become proficient in all production tasks (i.e. electrical wiring, metal and PVC plumbing, fabrication, subassembly, assembly, and analysis), always maintaining Newterra quality standards.
7. Keep personal workspace clean and organized.
8. Oversee and participate in shop housekeeping.
9. Participate in Inventory Assessments.
10. Learn new soft/hard skills and improve known skills.
11. Adhere to all Newterra efficiency and quality standards and procedures.
12. Identify shop needs for tools and safety equipment.
13. Manage shop inventory of tools and personal protective equipment.
14. Offer ideas to improve shop flow, efficiencies, or morale.
15. Be a positive role model for other Newterra Production employees.
16. Be available to offer expertise and knowledge to other Newterra employees.
17. Record keeping of performance indicators and other Newterra documentation processes.
18. Utilize Newterra computer systems to maintain shop documentation and reference materials needs.
19. Maintain ongoing education of ozone and the in-situ process and practices.
20. Create two goals, biannually, and plan a course of action to achieve those goals.
21. Any other duties that are created for the Manufacturing Technician position during employment with Newterra.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety in accordance with Newterra’s safety policies and procedures.
• Complies with Quality Management Systems in accordance Newterra’s internal quality standards.
• Complete all responsibilities while ensuring adherence to Newterra’s Delegation of Authority.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Candidate must have mechanical or manufacturing experience and knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Previous Forklift experience.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Ability to consistently produce quality work within budget and on schedule.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule.
• Valid CA Driver license with a clean driving record.
• Computer literate in MS Office Suite.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong communication skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team as well as in an individual environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to use both hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, stand for long periods of time and repeat the same motions. Must also be able to push, pull and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
