As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication and professionalism to support a welcoming environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and common areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
  • Maintain professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership while completing required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
