This is an opportunity to support a variety of interesting and complex stormwater quality, drainage design, and modeling projects for our growing list of transportation, municipal, watershed, and private clients throughout the Midwest and beyond. We are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities!

We are looking for candidates who possess a high capacity for self-motivation and can apply engineering and water resources knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, you must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Performs detailed design computations
  • Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design
  • Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates
  • Assists with plan reviews, storm water pollution prevention plans, design of storm water facilities, storm water detention and retention design, water quality design, and storm water management planning
  • Lead hydraulic and drainage tasks on projects, and coordinate with other task leads and project managers to deliver projects

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • 10+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS

Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 depending on years of experience and credentials 

Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location. Bolton & Menk reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
