Position details:

Full time | Day |  Monday- Friday (some weekend coverage required) | 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The Associate Director of Nursing (Medical) (ADON) is responsible for providing supervision for nursing and support staff on their assigned shift in a correctional setting. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the ADON provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Experience required: 

• Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with Registered Nurse (RN) license and two (2) years of experience required 
• Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state 
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required 
• Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred 
• Experience working in a correctional environment preferred 
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
