The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Lead Development / Inside Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the lead generation and inside sales teams. This role involves developing strategies to generate and qualify leads, managing the opportunity pipeline of the Lead Development / Inside Sales Team, and ensuring that the team meets its sales targets. The manager will work closely with marketing, category manager & field sales teams to optimize lead conversion and drive revenue growth.

- Lead generation and conversion of opportunities coming from demand generation activities such as trade shows, digital campaigns, distributor events, etc.
- Channel Influenced opportunities: Accelerate the conversion of opportunities coming from Distributors.
- Churn protection and penetration: Maintain sales and prevent sales erosion in customers. Use data intelligence to drive recovery and penetration of all portfolios in small and medium accounts and accounts not assigned to field reps.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Four (4) years relevant sales / customer service experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience leading high performing teams
- CRM Platform experience: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Four (4) years relevant sales / customer service experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Call center experience
- CRM and pipeline management experience
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
- Strong organization skills, with the ability to stay on tasks and maintain high productivity levels while working in the office
- Leadership Competencies: Think out of the box, resilience
Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 2 days per week)
