Job Description
The Stevens Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) serves the University’s central business function of providing pre-award and non-financial post-award research administration services to the research community. We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for Stevens’ students to achieve real-world experience with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). This internship will provide the selected students with insight into the world of research administration and finance. We encourage students from all disciplines to apply as the work will be multi-faceted. We offer a great work environment with flexible hours to fit class schedule. We do prefer work hours to be between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
More specifically, this position will work with OSP Pre Award and Post Award Teams assisting with data entry, data analysis, data integrity, communications, report preparation, and other areas of interest to the student interns. Specific duties are outlined below:
- Data entry via COEUS and KFS
- Data integrity via COEUS and KFS
- Maintain OSP SharePoint intranet site
- Maintain OSP central Outlook Inbox
- Maintain internal library of instructional materials
- Develop infographics, presentations, email communications, and reports
- Public speaking opportunities, if desired
- Institutional benchmarking, research, analysis, and reporting
- Other duties as assigned/interested
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to work an average of 15 hours per week
- Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Word
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Self-motivated and able to successfully complete work assignments with limited supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting sponsored programs.
- Preference for sophomore, junior, or senior students in the School of Business, however we do encourage students from all disciplines to apply.
- Applicants that are interested in working part time for 12 months or more, including summers.
- Experience with Stevens KFS system and University policies and procedures.
Schedule, Time Frame & Pay
- Days and hours are flexible based on student's academic schedule
- 15 hours per week
- 2024 - 2025 Academic Year
