POSITION SUMMARY
Cassaday & Company, one of the nation’s top wealth management firms and Virginia’s #1 financial advisor, is seeking a part-time Data Analyst to join our Business Process team. This role supports the firm by ensuring data integrity, optimizing database processes, and analyzing client and organizational data to improve efficiency and decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with all departments, report directly to the Director of Business Process, and play a key role in maintaining accurate data across multiple systems.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in SQL. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and can balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining data audit and support tools across multiple databases.
Identify and resolve inconsistencies across firm systems; document findings and create action plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Import, model, and analyze raw client data for reporting and decision-making.
Collaborate with end users and departments to ensure data repositories are consistent and reliable.
Develop and update documentation for user flows, data flows, reporting, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support account consolidation during client onboarding, including auditing and billing tasks.
Translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into streamlined processes that improve efficiency and client experience.
Monitor the impact of implemented changes and provide ongoing support to ensure long-term data integrity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of SQL is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); Access and Power BI experience preferred.
Solid understanding of basic programming concepts and data structures.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with all levels of management.
High level of initiative; self-starter who thrives in a team environment.
Ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality regarding client and firm matters.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in finance or investment management industries.
Demonstrated ability to take on additional responsibilities and adapt to evolving business needs.
