Reporting to the Driver Team Managers and Fleet Transport Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate delivery of products to customers while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and vehicle compliance.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who enjoys working independently, takes pride in providing outstanding service and is committed to operating safely and professionally at all times.</p><h3></h3><h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li><p>Safely deliver products to customers in line with company procedures and schedules.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a high standard of driving, adhering to speed limits, road traffic regulations and safe driving practices.</p></li><li><p>Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, fluid levels and general condition.</p></li><li><p>Report any vehicle faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays promptly.</p></li><li><p>Keep vehicles clean and presentable, both internally and externally.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the vehicle is sufficiently fuelled for the day's activities.</p></li><li><p>Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.</p></li><li><p>Check all deliveries via the EPOD terminal and ensure all orders are loaded correctly.</p></li><li><p>Collect customer returns, mail and delivery bins, ensuring their safe return to the branch.</p></li><li><p>Handle damages and breakages in line with company procedures, including HazChem requirements where applicable.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.</p></li><li><p>Support the wider transport team and undertake additional duties as required.</p></li><li><p>Comply with all Health &amp; Safety policies and procedures.</p></li></ul><h3></h3><h3></h3></div><p></p><p></p><p>.</p><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p></p><p>Essential</p><ul><li><p>Full UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.</p></li><li><p>Aged 21 or over for insurance purposes.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to keep Fleet Services updated on any changes to licence status, including endorsements or driving bans.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</p></li><li><p>Good numeracy and literacy skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.</p></li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li><p>Previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.</p></li><li><p>Route planning experience.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of delivery management systems and handheld devices.</p></li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Skills &amp; Competencies</h3><p></p><p>Successful candidates will demonstrate:</p><ul><li><p>Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence.</p></li><li><p>Effective communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Good planning and organisational abilities.</p></li><li><p>Sound decision-making skills.</p></li><li><p>A proactive approach to problem-solving.</p></li><li><p>Adaptability and openness to change.</p></li><li><p>Commitment to continuous self-development.</p></li><li><p>Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.</p></li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Manual Handling Requirements</h3><p></p><p>This role involves regular manual handling activities, including lifting, carrying and bending, which are essential requirements of the position.
