Summary:

Th Cook I performs a variety of tasks in processing, preparation and mixing of cold food items. Utilizes standardized recipes, procedures and practices. Complies with regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED

  • 1 year experience in institutional or commercial food service food preparation. Knowledge of food service safety and handling or equipment.

  • Must be able to follow and relay oral written detailed instructions, effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform duties throughout shift that requires standing, walking, pushing carts up to 400#, pulling, stooping, lifting up to 50# containers, and withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold for periods of time.


Certification/Licensure:

  • Must have City of Ft. Worth Food Handlers Card prior to employment.

  • Card must be current at all times during employment.
