Aerostructures is embarking on introducing new business jet nacelle design. The intern would contribute to the implementation teams efforts to ensure timely progression of the project with support/inputs from G400 Program Technical office(PTO).

This is an on-site role based out of Chula Vista, CA. May be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Visual Management – updates, more extensive analysis, posting
  • Administrative tasks  relating to Nacelle New Product introduction, testing, and verification
  • Documentation  and manipulation of Engineering data in Teamcenter
  • Updating Excel data & files
  • Enterprise Engineering support for testing different tools
  • Support gathering and summarizing Technical documentation
  • Special Projects relating to technical problem solving  
  • Scripting and automation in Excel for data analysis
  • 3D model data validation (CATIA /3D Pdfs)
  • Analytical tools and finite element models
  • Assist validation of technical documentation for TRD compliance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - including formatting data input, data manipulation, formulas, charting
  • More than 2 years college / university – in pursuit of a degree
  • Can work independently
  • Analytical, self-motivated, clear communicator
  • Advanced writing skills (e.g. ability to document findings and draft a professional document)
  • Completed Solid Works curriculum / class - 3D / Solid modeling
