Legal Intern - Contract Management

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Intern to support our Legal team in managing and maintaining our contract repository within the Legisway contract management system. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in legal operations, contract lifecycle management, or corporate compliance.

 

The person in this role will:

• Upload and index contracts into the Legisway system, ensuring accurate metadata tagging and version control.
• Assist with reviewing contract documents for completeness and consistency prior to upload.
• Support the Legal team in organizing and maintaining the digital contract library.
• Help identify and resolve discrepancies in contract records during the migration from legacy systems (e.g., LawVu).
• Collaborate with legal operations and IT teams to ensure smooth integration and data integrity.
• Generate reports and assist with tracking contract milestones, expirations, and obligations.
• Participate in user testing and provide feedback on system usability and process improvements.

 This internship will be 40 hours a week for one month, in person at the Scoular Omaha Headquarters.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with contract terminology and document handling preferred.
• Comfortable working with digital tools and document management systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Legisway or other contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms is a plus.
• Exposure to legal operations or corporate legal departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
