Role Summary: 

Zumiez is looking for a Project Manager with experience leading all aspects of IT projects including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, and change management. Zumiez PMs work directly with the project team, including IT and business partners to lead and ensure successful project delivery within scope, on time and within budget, and are expected to be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and project teams.  Reporting Structure: 

This role will report directly to the PMO Manager. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage expectations and requirements of multiple project stakeholders (to include internal and third-party sponsors and stakeholders).  

• Plan and implement IT solution development projects.  

• Close collaboration and alignment with the delivery and business team leadership to drive consistency within IT delivery and support the overall business goals and strategy of Zumiez.  

• Build and maintain project schedules and timelines (with knowledge of relevant tools to develop those).  

• Lead resolution of issues/escalations related to budget, schedule, and scope.  

• Oversee the activities of various stakeholders (Kanban meetings, project meetings, technical deep dive sessions, etc.).  

• Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met and escalate to Zumiez leadership when necessary.  

• Maintain detailed, comprehensive project documentation and reports using project management tools.  

• Serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of projects.  

• Lead cross-functional, virtual and third-party teams.  

• Develop comprehensive project plans to track project tasks, schedule, risks and issues to be shared with the project team and client team.  

• Present and communicate project status on delivery and execution of project goals to Zumiez leadership.  

• Facilitate and lead any pre- or post-mortem exercises related to project delivery preparation and execution.  

Qualifications: 

• At least 2-3 years of experience in IT project management and/or general IT consulting.  

• Demonstrable skills across project management standard methodologies (Project Management Institute defined), such as Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall.  

• Ability to manage Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Waterfall (Depending on need) processes to effectively deliver new applications, services, or optimization projects.   

• Proficient in Confluence, Jira and Microsoft Project for project goal and timeline tracking.
