What role you will play in our team
We are looking for an experienced engineer to manage surface facilities projects, including the design and execution of wellsite production facilities, gas pipelines, and compression infrastructure located within unconventional and conventional oil and gas plays. Your deliverables in support of these projects may include equipment sizing and design, economic analysis, scope definition, procurement, cost/schedule tracking, and commissioning support. You will also participate in identification and execution of GHG emissions abatement opportunities as well as activities required to maintain compliance with new state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will assist operations in facilities surveillance and optimization efforts focused on maintaining integrity, reliability, and profitability.
This position is based in Ardmore, OK and reports to the Facilities Engineering Manager.
What you will do
- Design and manage execution of wellsite production facilities, gas gathering systems, water transfer systems, and compression/dehydration facilities
- Evaluate existing system capacities/constraints and define facilities infrastructure work scopes needed to support new development activities
- Manage multiple projects with low-medium complexity through concept selection, cost estimation, AFE preparation, detailed design, material specification, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Collaborate effectively with operations and maintenance personnel and routinely travel to field locations to support facilities surveillance and troubleshooting
- Participate in planning, design, and execution of GHG emissions abatement and regulatory compliance projects
- Identify and mitigate SSHE risks associated with facilities design, construction practices, and management of change; actively participate in risk assessments and incident investigations
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure new facilities designs and change management is effective in ensuring compliance with state and federal codes and regulations
- Assist with validating health and driving improvements in Operations Integrity Management System elements pertaining to project management, facilities design, construction, and operations
- Provide support in guiding and mentoring less experienced engineering staff

Skills and Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant facilities engineering experience, preferably supporting U.S. Unconventional assets
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of common surface facilities systems, including piping networks, separators, heaters, tanks, pumps, compressors, dehydrators, flares, and associated instrumentation, electrical, and controls equipment
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while adapting to occasional shifting of priorities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams with other disciplines, including operations, reservoir, land, SSHE, regulatory, permitting, accounting, and procurement
- Experience with relevant industry standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM) and regulatory codes governing facilities design, construction, and operation
- Ability to occasionally travel, including to ExxonMobil’s Spring, TX campus
